Zodiac Tattoo
Zodiac tattoos have combined ancient beliefs with modern design for many years. For as long as people have been looking at the stars, they have been searching for meaning within them. Zodiacs are just one example of this. Many cultures, including those within China, Persia and India, have zodiacs that have been around for thousands of years. There is also evidence that the cultures of pre-Columbian North America, such as the Maya, the Incas and the Aztecs developed zodiacs based on their own celestial observations.Zodiac Tattoos
The zodiac that most people are familiar with is what is now called the Western Zodiac. The western zodiac has its roots in the Helenistic period of Greek culture, and was adopted by the Romans soon after conquering Greece. The Romans renamed the Greek gods within the zodiac and gave the zodiac signs the names that we are all familiar with – Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.
Each Zodiac sign has a corresponding timeframe on the calendar as well as a corresponding planet. This timeframe is based on the movement of the sun through the stars of the zodiac. In addition to this, the zodiac signs are each assigned a physical element of fire, water, earth or air. The English translation of each Roman name also serves as a corresponding symbol such as a ram, scales or an archer. (See Below)
Zodiac tattoos have followed in the path of zodiac tradition in many ways. Some people use their zodiac signs and symbols as tattoo designs. A person born in the sign of Scorpio may have several tattoos that include a scorpion in the design. Many people incorporate various aspects of their and their loved ones zodiac signs without using the obvious symbols. The elemental symbolism such as fire, water, air and water can be included in any tattoo in any number of ways. Someone born in a fire sign may incorporate flames in their tattoos, or someone born in an earth sign may include natural elements such as plant life in many of their tattoos.
Below is a list of the signs, elements, symbols and planets of each zodiac sign. Looking through your zodiac sign and those of your loved ones can give you a lot of great ideas for your next tattoo.

Short Summer Hairstyles
Sales are finally almost over and spring colors are on their way back into your wardrobe and make-up bags. Quite naturally, spring also calls for a change in the way you wear your hair.
For the fashionistas in the Northern Hemisphere, summer is no doubt a delightful thought; though a lot are still in the grips of winter with chilly days and nights to face. Still, with March in full swing, spring is just a matter of weeks away, which means summer couldn’t be far behind. And every woman wants to look her beautiful best during summer.
Short Summer Hairstyles
To say that this article is a trend report is actually a misstatement. If we were to describe every key haircut, hair style and hair color trend for 2010, we know for sure we cannot do it justice. Styles, lengths, and all sorts of cuts including buns, rolls and bobs are everywhere once again. Generally, styles are becoming more casual and free compared to the past year’s neat precision cuts and styles; styles and trends are unpredictable and anybody’s guess. All the same, this is an attempt to compile some of the goings on in the latest hair styles, so read on and find out about summer hairstyles for 2010.
* The Ever-living Bob - Back in the scene again, the perennial bob cut has evolved into strong graphic outlines combining curves and sharp lines. Asymmetry is the order of the day with one side longer; or you can raise the back (shorter) and lower the front (longer). Don’t be scared to gradually mix lengths, add volume with layers or stick to one length cuts, if that’s more comfortable. This is one summer hair style that you can tailor according to your face and lifestyle – distinctively and uniquely YOU.
* Fringe with a Bang – This is another hot item for summer 2010. You can either add elegance or deliver a bold statement with fringes. Make your own variations and go for fringes that put forward your personality and facial features. You have a variety of choice from soft and wispy, casual choppy edges or strong bold lines – they are all guaranteed to be hot. Fringe is all about having fun, being sexy and being you.
* Make Waves and Wow ‘Em - Wavy hair spells endless fun and it’s easy to get; either worn short or long, regardless of style, it looks fantastic. There are two hot versions this summer: the S wave and the Spongy waves; both are gorgeous styles for women with natural waves and curls.
* Long Hair Doesn’t Have To Take Long - Women are busy, multi-tasking creatures and it’s no surprise that they are opting for hair styles that they think would save them time as well as free them from worrying about their hair. Hair styles for summer 2010 can now allow you to wear your hair long, look fabulous and still be ready to get going in five minutes instead of an hour. A convenient way to wear long hair without getting anxious about time is to have straight layers. It’s another versatile style – wear it with bangs swept on one side, change the part, add accessories, even put it up if you need to. If you want to be a bit more modern and trendy you can opt for a long cut with blunt angles. It works great for hiding imperfections; a flat brush and a blow dryer is all you need to fix it.
* Braid-a-Frizz Brigade - Braids and plaits are your wonder-friends for hard to manage frizz. They help hide the frizz as they pull back and smooth the hair. The braid brigade has to be the biggest trend for summer 2010, falling in two distinct camps: tight and sleek like state-of-the art hair architecture or the surfer chic version, which is more loosely worn in matte, roughly textured plaits snaking over the shoulders – and it doesn’t even require gloss spray.
* Unregimented Crops - The focus is still on volume and natural looking movement with summer hair styles for 2010. Crops are still very much in with short unrestricted lengths that give added bounce and volume to this style. Don’t get stuck with solid crop; instead, go for broken edges and textures that utilize the natural flow of your hair as guide.
* Hot Buns, Up-dos and Chignons – Although you can go for the more casual look and style from the base of the head, buns are all about height for summer 2010, as exaggerated and roughed up ballerina buns or sky-high sculptured chignon emerge. It may take a lot of teasing before the bun is actually formed but the result is dramatic and you can even interlace beads and threads into the hair before creating the chignon for a more spectacular effect.
